Sundays in Bath are a pretty close rival for my affections to Saturdays in Salisbury.
This past Sunday was my birthday and when I was offered the chance of a day trip to Bath to do a bit of birthday shopping I couldn’t pass it up. Of course my decision may have been swayed a little by the fact that Bath hosts its very own Cath Kidston store.
I’ve coveted the CK button tin for a long time. I have a collection of vintage glass buttons from the ’20s-’40s and they were in need of somewhere safe to live.
Actually, if you’re ever in Bath I highly recommend a visit to Jessie’s Button Box. It’s a fantastic source of vintage buttons and other embellishments. I could spend hours rummaging through the little chests of drawers. Next time I’m in there I’ll take a picture of the wall of buttons for you all. It’s a sight to behold!
As usual my birthday seems to bring with it a change in the seasons. Two days ago it was warm and sunny and today it looks like the clouds were accidentally put in the dark wash!
We took advantage of Saturday’s sunshine to pay a visit to the local park. Mum and dad used to go there every sunday to feed the ducks and get some fresh air. It seemed only fitting to go and feed the ducks on the 1st anniversary of her death.
