When I first began my 2016 Project Life album I was determined not to fall behind with it but I got sick and the last thing I felt like doing was scrapbooking, so I’ve had a little bit of catching up to do. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been slowly working away on the January spreads and now I’ve finally finished.
For my January spreads I’ve been using the January like for ever kit which was chock full of goodies from Studio Calico’s Goldie collection. I’ve added bits and bobs from my stash too and I’ll give details below each spread.
The week started with tantrums and ended with a smattering of snow. Not enough to build a snowman but Bubs did get to have a mini snowball fight with Hubs. I wanted to include lots of photos, as it’s likely to be the only snow we get this year, so I decided to use a Design J page as an insert.
I used my typewriter for the journalling and it was only when I came to film the flip through (see the end of this post) that I noticed I’d used a comma instead of an apostrophe throughout. In my defence my eyesight was still really blurry when I made these pages!

This was the week where I really started to feel unwell. I spent the entire week in bed so there were very few photos to scrap. I managed to fill the back of the insert from week 3 by including a screenshot from the weather app on my phone. Including things like the weather or what you’re reading/listening to at the moment is a great way to bulk out lean weeks where you haven’t taken many photos.
Pink phrase stickers, Seven Paper Amelia // Alphabet stickers, Prima // Change of plans, cut from a Project Life card // Lovely clear sticker, MAMBI Pocket Pages Friends // Wood veneer, Pinkfresh Studio Happy Things // Mist, Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold
Oh boy this week was a doozy! I decided to take a humorous approach with my first card as you can see. Oh bum indeed! Revisiting such a scary time was not easy but I’m a big believer in scrapping the bad with the good as it’s all part of life’s rich tapestry.
