Our five beautiful puppies are heading off to begin their journey as potential Hearing Dogs. It has been a privilege to be a part of this incredible process and we will be sorry to see them go as they have stolen our hearts.
For me in particular having the puppies around has been an opportunity to perfect my photography skills; although as they have grown it became increasingly difficult to take photos that weren’t just a blur of tails and ears. Oh and teeth! During one memorable shoot I ended up with two pierced nipples – something I don’t think David Bailey ever had to deal with!
For our final photoshoot we brought the puppies into the garden individually to try and capture them without their siblings butting their cute little noses in.
This is Lexi. The only girl in the litter but she doesn’t let the boys boss her around. She’s a prim and proper little lady who doesn’t put up with any nonsense from her brothers.
This is Ludo. He’s a big chap (just look at those paws!) but he’s definitely a gentle giant and is the first to fall asleep on your lap. He has the least amount of white fur which is actually a great help when it comes to identifying them in a hurry.
This is Luca. He’s a cheeky chappie who is always in the middle of whatever mischief might be going on. You can’t stay cross with him for long though, I mean just look at that cute face!
Ths is little Leo. He was the smallest at birth and we think he will always be on the small side, but what he lacks in stature he makes up for in personality. Leo (or Splodge as he’s nicknamed) is a bit of a comedian and will do all sorts of crazy antics to entertain visitors. We’re not supposed to have favourites but he’s mine.
Last but not least is Logan. He’s a people puppy and likes to be wherever we are. He also likes shoes but we’ll gloss over that part! He’s another gentle giant and has the waggiest tail I’ve ever seen.
Oh I am going to miss them so much!
Goodluck Lexi, Luca, Ludo, Leo and Logan – I know you will do us all proud!
