Week 2 of Project 365 proved to be more difficult than the first. I’ve been unwell and not really feeling in the photography mood but I’m proud of myself for keeping going. There was no way I was going to call it quits in the second week!
There are a couple of photos this week that I wish I could do over again with better lighting and having put more thought into composition but the aim of this project isn’t to produce pixel perfect photographs.
Day 8 ~ Busy ~ Bubs having fun with paint
Day 9 ~ Metal ~ The rusty lock on our back gate.
Day 10 ~ Playing ~ Sam Spaniel playing tug of war
Day 9 ~ The letter Y ~ French’s Yellow Mustard & Day 10 ~ Frozen ~ Bubs in her Elsa sweatshirt
Day 13 ~ Depth of field ~ Bubs with Zebra the giraffe & Day 14 ~ I made this ~ Bubs in her newly finished capelet
I am developing a preference for still life photography but I think that’s probably because I don’t have to ply a gate latch with chocolate to get it to stay still. Bubs has no patience for posing for photos and will fidget or pull a face unless I resort to sweetie based bribery so I generally have to be in ninja mode and catch her unawares.
There are some really tricky prompts for the coming week (note to self choose easier ones for February!) and I’m going to have to use my imagination a little more. My original intent for the project was to try to improve my photography skills and that won’t happen if I don’t dare to venture outside of my comfort zone.
