If you’re as crackers about Christmas as I am chances are you’ve already decorated your Christmas tree and festooned it and the rest of the house with hundreds of twinkling lights. Which is why today I thought I’d share a couple of my favourite effects for photographing Christmas lights that really bring out the sparkle and fun of the festive season.

If you’re of a certain age (i.e. around 40) then chances are you had one of those giant plastic Santa sacks for Christmas when you were little. Mine was white and neon yellow with a scary looking Santa face on the front. Let’s face it they were essentially a jazzed up bin bag which lasted only a few Christmases before it started to disintegrate in the way that plastic bags are wont to do. Fast forward a few (far too…

Oh my stars, what a Christmas! We are all jolly hollied out and in that lovely state of post-Christmas, pre New Years limbo where it’s perfectly acceptable to be busy doing absolutely nothing. As much as I love the run up to Christmas I do so enjoy this little bit of downtime before the hustle and bustle begins anew. On Christmas Eve Bubs opened her special box of goodies and devoured the marshmallows before breakfast; something I’m not keen to…

There are numerous ways to document the season with some creating a daily album that includes every day life as well as festive elements…

I hope you’ve all had a great Christmas! We’ve had a lovely one and now we’re relaxing and awaiting the New Year. I thought I’d share some of my favourite pictures from the last few days. I was in mummy mode so I didn’t actually have my camera out very often but I’m really happy with the few pictures I did manage to get. By the way that’s Hubs and his mum attempting to put together a Frozen jigsaw puzzle,…

The title says it all really. I have a to-do list as long as my arm; at the top of which is finish a crochet blanket that seems to have a thousand ends that need sewing in, supervise the construction of a gingerbread house (dear God help me!), decorate a Christmas cake and wrap all of the prezzies I’ve bought. I also need to *sob* do the ironing although that’s very, very far down the list. Practically at the bottom…
